Product Description

Detergent enzymes are designed to penetrate fabric layers to remove a variety of stains. Enzymes degrade stains into smaller, more water-soluble parts that can be removed more easily dur - ing washing. There are a variety of stain removal enzymes: protease for pro - tein stain removal; amylase for starch stain removal; lipase for grease removal; mannanase for mannan-based stain removal; and pectate lyase for pectin-based stain removal


Kleenzyme L01, cellulase enzyme enables detergent manufacturers to offer color and fabric care claims and produce detergents that reduce the vis - ible wear of fabrics, keeping garments looking new. Many clothes are discarded because they no longer look nice, the colors have faded or fuzz and pills have appeared. Kleenzyme L01 improves the appearance of fabrics and prolong their lifetime.

Kleenzyme L01 cleaves protruding fibers from fabric surfaces, thus maintaining the new appearance of cotton fabrics, keeping surfaces smooth and colors bright. It removes fuzz and pills from worn cotton fabrics




Kleenzyme L01 can be used in formulation of powder laundry detergents and is readily soluble in application-relevant solutions at all levels of concentration, pH and temperature which may occur during normal usage




Recommended dosage of Kleenzyme L01 is 0.3%–1% (w/w in detergent). Exact dosage should be based upon wash conditions, detergent formulation, detergent dosing and the desired level of performance

How enzymes work in detergents

Enzyme detergent formulation usually comprises enzymes, surfactants, and builders. Dirt, stains, and grease from laundry and utensils are removed through mechanical action (washing machines, dishwasher, by hand) with the help of enzymes, surfactants, and builders present in detergents. Alkaline proteases, amylases, and lipases help in cleaning by breaking down the dirt through hydrolysis. Cellulases work on fabrics by hydrolysis of glycosidic bonds in fabrics that remove pilling, fuzz or lint attached to cotton microfibers. They also improve the softness and brightness of worn and jaded clothes. Surfactants act by lowering the surface tension in liquid solution and builders act by providing alkalinity to the solution that prevents the dirt from reattaching to the fabric.
