Product Description

Engineering Novel Lipases for Use in Sustainable Bioenergy Oil Applications

Product Description

Lipase Super Y is a compound enzyme.

Microorganisms that generate lipase enzyme activity are therefore frequently exploited in the bioremediation of polluted environments in oil. Bacteria which degrade hydrocarbons are omnipresent in nature and use these compounds as rich sources of carbon and energy. Bioremediation has become very significant in removing the harmful contaminants from soil, water, or atmosphere in recent days.

Lipases represent one of the most reported groups of enzymes for the production of biofuels. They are used for the processing of glycerides and fatty acids for biodiesel (fatty acid alkyl esters) production.Lipase is a critical chemical catalyst that catalyzes esterification and transesterification reaction to create methyl esters/biodiesel. Used cooking oil, tallow, fats; yellow and dark grease can be used for biodiesel generatio.

Features and Benefits

  1. Increased Efficiency: Enzymes act as biocatalysts, accelerating the rate at which chemical reactions occur. This increased efficiency can lead to higher yields of biodiesel from the same amount of starting material.
  2. Reduced Environmental Impact: Enzymatic catalysis offers several environmental benefits over traditional catalysts used in biodiesel production. For example, enzymes are usually biodegradable and do not produce waste products that are harmful to the environment.
  3. Use of Low-Quality Feedstocks: While traditional catalysts require high-quality feedstocks for efficient operation, enzymes can work with lower quality feedstocks, such as waste cooking oil or animal fats, resulting in reduced costs and increased sustainability.
  4. Milder Reaction Conditions: Enzyme-catalyzed reactions can take place under milder conditions, including lower temperatures and atmospheric pressure, reducing the overall energy requirements for the process.
  5. Flexibility: Enzymatic processes can be easily modified to suit different feedstocks, reaction conditions, and end-product specifications, offering greater flexibility than traditional methods.
  6. Improved Product Quality: Enzymatic reactions can produce higher quality biodiesel with fewer impurities than traditional methods. This improved product quality can lead to better fuel performance and longer engine life.
