Product Description
Catazyme 600L, which is involved in the degradation of H2O2 into water and oxygen, is the major H2O2-scavenging enzyme in all aerobic organisms. A close interaction exists between intracellular H2O2 and cytosolic calcium in response to biotic and abiotic stresses. Studies indicate that an increase in cytosolic calcium boosts the generation of H2O2. Here we report that calmodulin (CaM), a ubiquitous calcium-binding protein, binds to and activates some plant catalases in the presence of calcium, but calcium/CaM does not have any effect on bacterial, fungal, bovine, or human catalase. These results document that calcium/CaM can down-regulate H2O2 levels in plants by stimulating the catalytic activity of plant catalase. Furthermore, these results provide evidence indicating that calcium has dual functions in regulating H2O2 homeostasis, which in turn influences redox signaling in response to environmental signals in plants.

Save Water
Application of Catazyme to the elimination of hydrogen peroxide only requires cold bath for once. Inactivation and washing is not needed before dyeing. The elimination of hydrogen peroxide can be conducted in the same bath of dyeing without washing, resulting in considerable savings of rinsing water ( at least saved by 3/4 in average).
Save Time
Catazyme's characteristic of decomposing hydrogen peroxide in a highly efficient way results in big saving of washing time, which is roughly half of the preparation time before dyeing process.
Save Energy
Elimination of hydrogen peroxide with Catazyme does not need heating and the process flow is comparatively short, thus allowing less electricity consumption.
Safe Dyeing
Catazyme does not have any effects on dyeing performance of vat dyes. Hydrogen peroxide is decomposed into water and oxygen, which do not have any effects on dyes either.

Functions

2. Papermaking Industry: monitoring and optimizing the amount of hydrogen peroxide in bleaching process, degrading residual hydrogen peroxide after the bleaching;
3. Electronics Industry: to remove hydrogen peroxide after eroding germanium, silicon transistors and semiconductor components; saving water, energy and time;
4. Food Industry: to remove residual hydrogen peroxide after using it as bleacher, oxidation, starch denaturant and preservative in food processing; can be used for eliminating the special odor of hydrogen peroxide caused by ultraviolet irradiation in production of milk, egg products, cheese and other products; also used as leavening agent of baking food;
5. Water Treatment: After the use of peroxide for waste water treatment, add catalase to remove the over use of peroxide in case it results in water eutrophication. Also it would not affect other elements in the process because of the specificity of catalase.
